Being friendly, welcoming, and gracious are critical volunteer qualifications. Volunteers must practice hospitality with people of all backgrounds, seeking to grow in understanding of those different from themselves.
We allow volunteers under the age of 18 only if supervised by an adult (e.g. youth group leader, parent)
Volunteers must be sober and able to prioritize the needs of others before their own needs.
Volunteers must agree to a basic criminal background check and complete a three-hour orientation in their first month of volunteering. One-time volunteers and volunteer groups are exempt from this requirement.

Volunteers participate in areas where they are interested and as their schedules permit. Some of the opportunities are:
Volunteer opportunities are also available for persons interested in participating in the clothing ministry distribution or for Laundry Love Racine.
Volunteers completing court ordered community service are welcome to complete a volunteer application.
Metered street parking is available. Also, metered parking is available at the McMynn parking structure, which is located directly across the street from St. Luke's.
